Frequently Asked Questions

Emergency Care

What counts as a dental emergency?
A dental emergency includes a severe or persistent toothache, a knocked-out or broken tooth, uncontrolled bleeding, facial swelling or a suspected abscess, a lost crown or filling causing pain, or a loose or damaged implant. When in doubt, call us — we will help you assess the situation.
What should I do if a tooth gets knocked out?
Handle the tooth by the crown, not the root. Rinse it gently without scrubbing, and try to place it back in its socket if you can. If not, keep it moist in milk or saliva and get to us within 30–60 minutes — quick action gives the best chance of saving the tooth.
Are you really available 24/7?
Yes. Our afterhours emergency line 561-787-7517 is answered day or night, including weekends and holidays. A licensed dentist will review your symptoms and arrange for you to be seen as quickly as possible.
Do you handle implant emergencies?
Yes. Dr. Jackie Johns, DMD has over 30 years of experience in implant dentistry, and loose, damaged, or failing implants are seen urgently. Learn more on our implant repair page.

Fees, Insurance & Payment

How do I book an emergency dental visit?
Call our 24/7 emergency line at 561-787-7517. A licensed dentist reviews your symptoms and contacts you personally with arrival instructions and timing — often the same day. There is no fee to book; you are only charged for the treatment you receive, and all treatment costs are explained before any work begins. See how our emergency process works.
Will I know treatment costs before any work is done?
Yes. Any additional treatment — extractions, prescriptions, X-rays, or procedures — is reviewed with you before being performed, and all costs are disclosed upfront. You approve before we proceed; no surprise billing.
Do you accept insurance?
We accept most PPO insurance plans. We recommend calling our office at 561-710-2011 before scheduling to confirm coverage under your specific policy.
What payment options do you offer?
We accept most major credit cards and cash. We also work with medical financing options including CareCredit and LendingClub to make care accessible and affordable.
